Helen's Story

Pain and suffering have been my teacher, and I have a lot of learning to do. My time as a high school senior has been crazy with my training for the US Olympic Beach Volleyball team, where we have a very slim chance of making it.

Remembering my negative decisions throughout my life has led me down a road full of pain and heartbreak. My family has offered no support at all. They have turned their back on me when I most needed them. Now a mysterious stranger is offering me a trip to Italy. However, can I trust him when he claims to have mysterious dark abilities, which prove to have deadly consequences?

This puts me at odds with my friend, who is concerned for me, wanting me to have nothing to do with this mysterious stranger, who belongs to an ancient cult with world domination as their goal. They hate each other, and I fear fighting will soon escalate into war. Which side will I join? Whatever my decision, I know it won’t bode well for the innocent lives who have to pay the real consequences far worse than losing a gold medal.
